CANADA PLANS TO EXPEDITE HOME CONSTRUCTION

Canadian Housing Minister Sean Fraser revealed a plan to revitalize a housing program from the Second World War era, with plans to expedite home construction in Canada. 

In response to record-high immigration and a housing shortage, Fraser suggests potential changes to international student and temporary foreign worker programs. 

The government aims to collaborate with provinces and post-secondary institutions to address housing challenges before considering a cap on foreign student visas.

However, concerns have been raised about the impact of immigration on housing prices, with experts warning of a significant housing shortfall by 2030 if building levels are not increased.
